Beachy Sofa Table Redo

I received a request for a custom order this weekend and put myself on a very tight schedule. I picked it up on Friday and dropped it off on Sunday. Whew!

The owner had gotten this piece that day and wanted it to fit in with her new beachy feeling family room. The room is in the process of being redone and she had a couple of swatches to refer to. A lovely dark grey sectional with multi-colored throw pillows were on the drawing board. The pillows offered a beautiful choice of colors to choose from. She was leaning towards an aqua tone – one of the colors in the pillows. And she wanted a chippy finish. I will post how I achieved this fantastic color – be sure not to miss it. It’s amazing. For real – if you’re not following me yet, follow my blog to find out how. Amazing!  Go on, I’ll wait… the button is on the right…

Anyway, back to current business… it was a solid, rustic little pine table, but outdated and a dog had chewed up some of the edges. I’m not going to give details until the following post, but here is the reveal… Make sure you follow for the the magic.  If you paint, it is life changing!

  1. great job. I’m actually wondering about that large tray item behind it. I think I have that same piece-I don’t really know what it is, just a large wicker/rattan thing that I was going to hang on the wall. I don’t know if I got a good deal on it either. maybe you know something about it?

  2. I love furniture redos, and this one is excellent. I love the color and the distressing. The drawer pulls are perfect with this piece. So, so nice. I’m a new follower, Delia, and would love it if you’d share this at my monthly blog party Every Room In The House. This month we’re partying in the living room, and your post would be so inspiring.
